History

Native to tropical and southern Africa, The Tangled Heart plant lower surface of the leaf is purple. Colder temperatures have a tendency to bring out more purple. The blooms are small, and white in color. It blossoms from late spring to early fall. 

Grow Instructions

Tangled Heart Plant plants thrive in bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light conditions. Water moderately, allowing the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. Keep the temperature between 55°F to 80°F (13°C to 27°C) for optimal growth.

Care Instructions

  • Water sparingly in winter and more frequently in the growing season.
  • Fertilize with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2-4 weeks during the growing season.
  • Trim yellow or brown leaves to maintain the plant's appearance.
